- Numerical reads on news — something happened, what does the data actually say?
- Long-form features with a falsifiable thesis backed by real measurement.
- Charts — if you have a chart we'd want to see, send it. The story can come from us.
- Engineering and strategy explainers from people with hands-on experience.
What we're not
We're not a reaction-content site. We don't run rumours, rankings without numbers, or anything that looks like fan-fic. We don't pay per-piece freelance rates yet — though we will when we can.
How to pitch
Email hello@fivereds.io with:
- A one-paragraph pitch — the claim and the evidence.
- Two or three links to anything you've published, if relevant.
- An ETA if it's time-sensitive.
If the idea is in scope, we'll write back within a week. If not, we'll still write back — promise.
Reader submissions
Once it's open, the fan submissions surface will accept lighter contributions — single charts, contrarian one-paragraph takes, dataset finds — with a faster turnaround. Get on the list there.
